Can I wake up my Mac® using AJAX Remote from my iPod® Touch or iPhone™?

Yes! Provided the following requirements are met:

  • You're using the AJAX Remote App
  • Your Mac® is connected to your network via Ethernet (the Mac® only supports wake-on-LAN over Ethernet, but not over Wi-Fi) and is not running on battery (Apple® turns off the Wake-On-LAN functionality of your Mac® when it runs on battery).
  • Your Mac® and your iPhone™/iPod® touch are connected to the same IP subnet and there are no limitations regarding UDP traffic on that network.
