This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I'll have to update myself on this point:

1) Shutdown your Mac when you don't use it instead of just putting it 
to sleep, as an open Bluetooth connection will stay open even during 
sleep.

During testing, it turned out that even a disconnected Sony PS3 BD 
Remote is in fact able to wake up the Mac unter OS X 10.5.6. Neat.
