Re: Front Row direct volume control using optical audio out

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.

Hello David,

thanks for asking. While in Front Row, keep Menu pressed until the
Remote Buddy menu appears. You'll then have a volume slider for
iTunes available in that menu, which allows you to control iTunes
volume in Front Row anywhere in it.

Best regards,
Felix

Felix, I have been using this feature as you described, and it works great if I want to just set a level for an album, but when i'm either in shuffle mode or in a playlist I would like to control volume much more quickly since volume levels from song to song can vary quite significantly.

I just noticed that my initial post may have not have been that clear. What I was trying to find out was... Is there going to be any way in the future to set Remote Buddy so that the volume control directly adjusts iTunes volume while in Front Row "Now Playing" without having to hit menu first and not having to adjust the iTunes volume in the Remote Buddy menu? I hope that all made sense.
