thanks for explaining in more detail.

The problem there is, that Remote Buddy can only send emulated 
keystrokes to Front Row and does not know what they will trigger. So, 
if you press the + and - buttons on your remote, FR may either 
scroll, adjust volume or do something else and Remote Buddy will not 
know about it. In consequence, it can also not know when FR is 
expected to adjust volume and when it will react differently. So a 
transparent replacement does not seem to be possible without patching 
Front Row, which I'll avoid. You can, however, map the iTunes volume 
plus / minus controls to the "Plus (held)" and "Minus (held)" button 
mapping entries for Front Row, so single clicks will still allow you 
to scroll while holding the buttons will increase and decrease the 
iTunes volume.
