thanks for asking.

I have no idea what might cause this. Doing a quick web search of one
of the strings yielded this URL, though:

Have you tried updating your copy of VLC to the latest version / are
you using the latest version of VLC?

All Remote Buddy really does is to open the respective folder with
VLC, which in effect is just like if you dragged it onto the VLC icon
in the Dock.
