Hello Larry,
thanks for letting me know. This is most definately something that is
happening behind the scenes - but not Remote Buddy's. I have seen
that Apple has made changes to how the remote is handled in Mac OS X
and hiding this functionality more actively. The most visible part of
this is that rcd.app does no longer need to run to invoke Front Row
and alike. Why they do this I don't know. There is no technical
reason for this as far as I can see.
Since I haven't been able to reproduce the problem on either my
MacBook Pro or iMac Core Duo, could you please send me
- a System Profiler profile (just load it up and select save, please
use the SPX format)
- the output of "ps auxww" executed in a shell/Terminal.app
- the output of "kextstat" executed in a shell/Terminal.app
to info @ <thiscompany> com, so I can have a look at what is running
and loaded on your system and compare it to mine?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Felix
