thanks for mailing the info.

Regarding the md5 command: yes, it's a terminal command that creates
a checksum on a private framework of Apple.

I do then know which version of the framework you have installed
(there seem to be at least two planted into user's system with the
10.4.9 updater - probably depending on how they installed the update).
