This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.

I'm not happy about Apple breaking the HID layer of OS X either -
especially as I can't see what changes or improvements apart from a
security fix were made to that part of the OS in 10.4.9. That
security fix seems totally unrelated to the problem at hand and no
other HID device seems to be affected.

All I can say is that I do know the fix and I continue working on its
implementation. I'll have to ask for your patience until RC2 is
finished and everything in it works reliably.

Please understand that I won't comment further on this issue as all I
have to say about it has already been said and repeating myself does
only prolong the waiting time for the fix.
