The problem is already fixed for some time now. As there is currently
no way to detect

1) whether EyeTV has several tuners available for recording
2) how many of them are already recording

the only option I can offer to you right now through Preferences is
to turn off the check in Remote Buddy altogether. You can do that at:

Preferences > Behaviours > EyeTV > Options
