This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I'm still working on a better anti-shake algorithm.

Until then, keeping some distance from your IR source is the best way 
to reduce shaking or bring it down to zero.

The closer you are to the IR source, the more sensitive will the mouse 
react to your movements.

During my experiments I also learned that the pointer does 
additionally stabilize when you use two IR light sources / groups of 
IR LEDs.
