Re: AJAX remote with multiple users

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Remote Buddy turns off all remotes upon a fast user switch to free the
hard- and software-resources for usage by another user. As the AJAX
Remote is just a "remote" for Remote Buddy, it too will be turned off
when you switch to another user. That other user can then also run a
copy of Remote Buddy and use the same port - 8888 - to connect to the
AJAX Remote.

Fast user switching employs a number of limitations to the
applications running in the other session:

- audio is turned off
- many UI- and graphics-related functions will perform subpar or
return with an error - or even crashing
- ..

I thus wouldn't see much use to try using Remote Buddy through AJAX
Remote when it is running in a "backgrounded" user session. It's bound
to not work properly due to the limitations employed by Fast User
Switching.

Best regards,
Felix
