Could you try to temporarily detach your Time Machine drive and see if 
that fixes the problem?

I'll then try to reproduce the problem and see what can be done about 
it.

It's important for me to point out, though, that Remote Buddy really 
does just use the list of applications returned by Launch Services, 
which is part of OS X. If, however, Launch Services presents backup 
copies from Time Machine as launchable apps, this clearly is a bug in 
Launch Services that'll affect many - and I'll be happy to add a 
workaround for it.
