Re: Wake up on usb with eHome 2005 receiver?

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Thanks for asking.

"Wake up from remote" is a low-level hardware / USB protocol feature,
which needs to be implemented by the receiver. It can't be added by
software running on your Mac because, of course, when the Mac is
sleeping no software can be run.

The eHome 2005 receiver do not support wakeup in hardware, so I'm
afraid it can never be added.

The Keyspan Express receiver is the only 3rd party IR receiver I can
currently think of that supports wakeup by remote.

Best regards,
Felix Schwarz
