Thanks for the response felix, very nicely thought out and worked through. Of course you are right. I guess i was too busy trying to move the combo away from normal operation as the hold button action seems to get in the way, stopping you from being able to scroll through a list quickly vertically, or horizontally.

I guess deep down I just wish there was a few more buttons on the remote. It does work well with frontrow and remote buddy is great at letting you control your mac quite well with just a handful of buttons.

There's no way to use other remotes with remote buddy is there, without extra IR receivers plugged in. I guess the PS3 bluetooth remote has potential?
