Re: Re: Leopard, Remote Buddy and Keyspan Remote for Itunes

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Thanks for your reply.

"The URM15T is not compatible with Leopard . The product was mfg
before Leopard was release. At the present time there are no
available drivers.Due to customer demand, we are considering the
support for Leopard for future, but there are no immediate plans.
We apologize for any inconvenience".

Thanks for the interesting info.

a) Is Remote Buddy able to act as a driver for Leopard and overcome
hence the lack of them?

Yes.

b) May I use the receiver in Leopard with Apple Remote and Remote
Buddy?

Yes.

Since you mention the Apple Remote: I recommend you to check out the
"How to retrofit an AppleŽ Remote and other remote controls" feature
at the bottom of the Remote Buddy Website Overview page for more
information on that topic - including RB's ability to *truely* emulate
a built-in IR receiver.

c) Have you tried?

Since the bundle isn't available in Germany, I couldn't try myself. As
the receiver in the "Remote for iTunes"-bundle appears to be identical
(even down to the USB product and vendor ID) to the one in the
"Express Remote"-bundle (which I own and have tested with
excessively), it should be fully compatible. No problems are known and
customer feedback so far has been 100% positive.

If you have any doubts left, I can only recommend to make use of the
trial version of Remote Buddy, which allows you to test the full
product for 30 days.

Best regards,
Felix Schwarz
