This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
The support for the Wii Remote and the Sony BD Remote are 
architectually very different - as are the ways these remotes have to 
be addressed. That's part of why the power saving options continued to 
be supported for the Wii Remote without interruption.

Regarding the messages: 
You can turn them off altogether at RB > Prefs > Bluetooth Receiver

Regarding the disconnect and pairing behaviour of the BD Remote: 
The pairing behaviour of the BD Remote is very different from the Wii 
Remote. In most cases, you will not notice that the BD Remote was 
disconnected except for a short delay upon your first press that's 
caused by the BD Remote waking from sleep and re-establishing the 
Bluetooth connection. I personally find it to be very smooth.
