Sorry to drag up such an old topic, but I was pondering the idea of running Boxee on an AppleTV, but realized I wouldn't want to do it with only a 6 button remote, and when I searched for AppleTV I found this thread.

All I would want out of RB on the AppleTV is the multiple remote support, so that I could use my Harmony and have more than six buttons. Since the Boxee behavior doesn't use virtual remote, it might work - unless the kernel extension is required for the multi remote support. So, is the kernel extension required for multiple remote support?
