Re: Launch Plex, but not control?

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Im just setting up a new computer so I downloaded the latest versions of both plex and remote buddy on Sunday. I'm pretty sure I have them set to automatically download any new updates.

My primary issue is that I'd like to use the apple remote how the plex designers intended. I don't need to launch remote buddy when I'm in plex, so I tried to assign the menu (held) to an action of pressing the c key(because I don't see something like "navigation:menu" that would respond the way plex responds to the menu button being held). However then I had navigation issues when in the music section of plex...I recall that I couldn't use menu(hold) to return to back to my playlist after selecting a song.

Additionally, in the movies library holding the play button would sometimes not bring up the info screen. I could get more specific cases where I'm having problems next time I'm in front of my tv, but is there a way to do what I originally asked, ie use remote buddy to launch plex but then have remote buddy step aside when I'm using plex? I think that would allow me to use plex with remote buddy controlling my other apps.

Thanks!
