This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.

Did you change the preferences "Manually activated Behaviours stay
active until they are explicitely deactivated" (or similiar) at Prefs

General > Advanced… by any chance? This option is off by default.

Haven't changed this. It is off.

Also, what Behaviour is named as "Active Behaviour" in Remote Buddy's
pull-down menu (reachable by clicking on the small RB logo in the menu
bar of your Mac) while VLC is the active and front-most application?

"Default Behavior".

In fact, when I look at the "Behaviors" tab under Prefs, I don't see VLC there at all. Should it be there? Perhaps I lost it & need a fresh install?
