I'm sorry, but this isn't my opinion, but simply how it works. The built-in Apple IR receiver completely decodes the IR signal *in hardware* and directly outputs the result to the driver, which really can't do anything wrong with that data.

Add to this that Remote Buddy's driver is also used when you quit Remote Buddy and - unless you have uninstalled the driver and rebooted - also creates the events used by Front Row.

Plus you're the only one who has reported any issue.

As I said before: this is not a software problem. I already listed two common physical problems. You'll find more possibilities in the FAQ.
