The currently controlled application is determined by the Behaviour based on how you set it up. For Behaviours created with the BCK, the currently controlled application is identified using the bundle identifier you entered at

Behaviour Construction Kit > Behaviour Factory > Specification and metadata > Application recognition > Bundle identifier

If this entry is empty or invalid, then it's impossible for Remote Buddy to find out which application this Behaviour is targeted at - and consequently also can't perform any application actions like quitting.
