Re: Using Remote Buddy with Quicksilver

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.

You haven't set this to "Apple + Esc" by any chance? Since this is
the key combo used to activate Front Row (and also the only possible
way to do this afaik), I can't change that key combo.

Yes and No. :) Yes I have set a shortcut for Apple + Esc but it replaces Quicksilvers default action which is bound to Apple + Esc

To confirm this, check the Quicksilver manual http://docs.blacktree.com/quicksilver/command_key_reference

Now I know this is a conflict, and I get your answer and if there is no way around it then I guess something has to give my end. However how does the Apple remote invoke Front Row? I would guess you could reverse engineer that process...

I'm under high time pressure atm but will definately have a look at
Quicksilver as soon as possible afterwards - also to exclude the
possibility of any problems with it :-)

I totaly understand and thanks

Also whilst I am here, as you have some applescript in your app how
about a small dirty hack which will make skipping in VLC possible?

That's underway ;-)

Yay :)

Cheers

John
