Hello Bob,
thanks for your mail / posting.
(I skip the reply to your previous contact form mail on the same
topic and just put you in the Bcc of the reply mail I send to the forum)
The problem is quickly located: PowerPoint X - as opposed to
PowerPoint 2004 - has no AppleScript support and thus does not work
with the Behaviour for PowerPoint, which makes use of PowerPoint's
AppleScript-support to allow you to start/stop and navigate
PowerPoint presentations.
There is a (partial) solution, though.
1) Since PowerPoint X does not offer any keyboard shortcut (at least
I don't know any) that would start the presentation, use the touchpad
of your MacBook or virtual mouse of Remote Buddy to start the
presentation from the menu.
2) Use your remote to enter the menu and activate the "Virtual Cursor
Keys" behaviour from the "Input devices" menu. This will send left
and right cursor keys to the frontmost app (PowerPoint when running a
presentation) and will thus make it skip forward and backward through
your slides.
If anybody knows a key combination in PowerPoint v.X that would start
a presentation, I could make the behaviour directly support
PowerPoint v.X without this two step procedure ..
Best regards,
Felix
