What do you mean by .. 'becomes "not responding"'?
I have to force quit it via task manager.
Is it showing a "not responding" and the name of Remote Buddy in red
in the Activity Monitor?
Instead of force quitting it, could you press the "Analyze" button
and send me the output? That'll allow me to see where the app is stuck.
Brand new mac mini, clean OS.
  Ok.
What do you see when you press the Menu button?
  Nothing visually happens.
Are you sure you have clicked away the "buy or try" dialog?
Especially at startup, it can easily get covered by other windows and
does not turn up in Exposé, because Remote Buddy is an "NSUIElement"
by default.
It automatically chooses "Try" for you after 30 seconds and
disappears, btw.
Are you sure the Apple Remote is activated (=> green light in front
of the entry in Remote Buddy's menu)?
I see green light when it first starts up.
Just to be sure, if you start Remote Buddy now, what are you seeing?
Does the remote control work with Front Row?
Yes, remote is fully functional with Front Row and VLC via addin
application.
If there's a log file that application creates, I would be happy to
send that.
There's no log file at the moment. But the analyze output of Activity
Monitor I mention above would be very helpful.
Best regards,
Felix
