Wiimote Suggestion
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
This is only an enhancement suggestion, but it could be cool. What about using the accelerometers on the Wiimote to make fast scroll/pan "buttons". What I was thinking was that when the B button is pressed it would enable the accels and see if a sharp acceleration occurs. If it does then it would fire a "rightFlick", for example, button press. If it didn't then the normal B button logic would apply.
The only part I'm not sure about is if the accels can be turned on fast enough to catch a flick after the B button is pressed. I would assume leaving the accels off helps on battery life, so that extra step could be important.

Hi Phil,

I don't want to promise anything, but rest assured I'm very interested
into adding some sort of support for the accelerometers later in the
development cycle as time permits.

Best regards,
Felix
