Gamepad support

The Wiimote is one of the best gamepads out there on the market, and with the fact that it's Bluetooth, it lends itself even more to playing games.

The problem, however, is that there seems to be no option in creating behaviours to allow that when you hold a button on the Wiimote, it is the same as holding a key on your keyboard. This aspect is critical for gaming.

I can map the Wiimote to any keyboard key I want and i can set up press and hold to be the same keys for each individual button on the Wiimote. However, if I attempt to press more than one button at a time on some settings, then it interrupts a prior button. If instead, I change the settings, then some buttons won't respond at all while I'm pressing other buttons.

Has anyone else tried this, and if so, do they have a behaviour pack or instructions to make it easier?

RB's Wiimote driver will automatically assume a button release as soon
as you press another button without releasing the other one first.
Reason being that *many* actions will - due to their nature - not be
able to work correctly or at all if they are executed at the same
time. F.ex. while pressing several keys at the same time is desirable
for games, it is not for applications:

If one action sends a keystroke Apple + K and another one Alt + R, the
keystroke will end up as Apple + Alt + K + R - with unknown and
possibly unwanted effects.

So what you're saying is that the application doesn't currently work. Does this mean that it will never be programmed to work in this way?

No that's not what I have said. Remote Buddy works pretty well.

What I've said is that Remote Buddy has a clear focus on desktop
application remote control, which *requires* it not to execute two or
more actions at once. It's a limitation imposed simply by how
keyboards and shortcuts work: you can't use two keyboard shortcuts at
once. And Remote Buddy takes care of this detail. If it would NOT take
care of it, it in fact wouldn't work.

I can't talk about future releases, but rest assured I'm listening and
keep requests both in mind and organized in a list.

Best regards,
Felix
