Search results without effect
View

Hi, when i tap on "search" on the "now playing" screen i am able to do a search. But there is no effect after tapping on a result, e.g. an album or a title. So there is no effect on the actual playlist - i got an iPod touch 16g and a mac mini. Thanks in advance - André

I know of two possible error sources:

1) iTunes preferences or another modal iTunes dialog is open. The
effect of that is that iTunes stops processing to AppleScript commands.

2) The file behind the track you want to play / add does no longer
exist or is not accessible (i.e. a track located on a network volume
not mounted - or simply a file that has moved / has been deleted /
etc.). iTunes will then not be able to either add that track to a new
(temporary) playlist nor will it inform you about it beyond putting an
exclaimation mark in front of the respective track.

Best regards,
Felix
