setting default video viewer

I am having problems setting up the default viewer. I have set the checkbox in ajax to prefer VLC over dvd player. I also set the VOB files to use VLC player then clicked change all. It keeps bringing up DVD player when I use my IPod touch to play movies. On my Disney movies the player hangs up, if I manually play them VLC comes up and they plays correctly. I am using OSX 10.4.11, 4.22 DVDpedia, 0.8.6h VLC player, and 1.10.1 Remote Buddy. What am I forgetting to do?

Thanks for asking.

If the checkbox is checked and Remote Buddy plays back the VIDEO_TS
folder via DVD Player nonetheless, it could not find VLC Player via OS
X Launch Services (LS). Executing LSRefresh (to be found in the
IOSPIRIT website's blog or via the search function) and selecting VLC
Player in it, then restarting Remote Buddy, should solve that problem.
