Launch Plex (OSXBMC) by holding menu instead of Front Row
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I'm trying to figure out the correct way to Launch Plex (OSXBMC) by holding the menu button instead of launching Front Row.

I've created an Apple script that I can call to launch Plex, but I also then have to active the Plex behavior. After I quit Plex, the Plex behavior stays active.

Is there a simpler way to launch Plex and have the behaviors switch automatically and correctly?

Thanks,

Thanks for asking.

The easiest way to hardwire launching Plex (or any other supported
app) to a button is this:

1) Go to Remote Buddy > Preferences > Mapping
2) In "Global Mapping", in the table view, choose the action
"Behaviours > Activate Plex" from the popup for the button you want to
always launch Plex with.

Thanks for the info. I am new to remote buddy and I have tried this solution. It works sometimes and does not work other times with my Harmony Remote. I set Menu for launching Plex and Menu hold for Remote Buddy main menu.

For some reason it works and then stops working. Also, I set up my remote to work with Plex based on this tutorial http://funwithcomputers.wordpress.com/ which works fine.

I also have two Plex programs in Remote Buddy for some reason. Is there a way to delete one?

Thanks
