Thanks for asking.
Do you mean hanging (application becomes unresponsive) or really
crashing (application quits unexpectedly)?
In the first case (hangs):
I'm afraid that this is an inside problem of EyeTV 3.1 that only
Elgato can address. I've tried to work around it by introducing a
slight delay between the execution of the AppleScripts used to control
EyeTV. While the workaround seems to work for many, it doesn't seem to
work for everyone. That's pretty much all I can do about the problem
since the root of it is not in my code. It really isn't a Remote Buddy
or Remote Buddy only problem. User reports at Elgato's forums indicate
that it also affects other remote control applications:
http://forums.elgato.com/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=4180&p=20942
That said, I'm very positive that elgato will address the problem.
They have a rich history of excellent products and excellent
developers working for them.
In the second case (a crash):
Please send me the crash log of Remote Buddy (and EyeTV, to get more
context). Right now, no crash bugs are known in Remote Buddy and if
there is one, I'd like to fix it as soon as possible.
Best regards,
Felix Schwarz
