what receiver is used in in wiimote demo

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
The video demo on the main page has a wiimote controlling a mac book. What is the IR receiver (looks like usb device)?

I would like to use it with a mac pro. Will the Mantra IR receiver work?

Thanks.

Thanks for asking.

An IR receiver/sensor (like the Manta) is of no use to the Wii Remote.
It needs an IR source. Please see FAQ015E0175 for more info.

In the video, a candle is being used. I recommend to get a Wireless
Wii Sensor Bar (which has been badly named, it in fact has zero
sensors. It's a bar of IR LEDs *for* the sensor / IR camera that sits
in the front of the Wii Remote), though.

Best regards,
