Deactivating Apple Remote Issue

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi,
I am using Remote Buddy to deactivate the Apple Remote on my MacBook Pro because if I have my MacBook in the Living room or area where I'm watching movies on my MacMini, my MacBook keeps responding to IR commands and waking up.
I'm finding that although I have deactivated Apple Remote from the menu that my MacBook still responds to IR commands such as the increase volume and decrease volume. Also, it seems as though if my MacBook is asleep, it responds to IR commands even with the remote deactivated however this is most likely not a RB issue.
Is this a feature or an "Undocumented" feature ie: bug. I am using RB 1.0 p12 RC1.
Thanks
