Support for Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Tuner Kit for Windows Vista receiver

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I bought the Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Tuner Kit for Vista which comes with a hybrid analog/DVB-T USB stick, a USB IR transceiver & a remote control. The remote works with Win XP MCE 2005 so I was hoping it would work with the Mac but unfortunately the IR transceiver is not recognised by Remote Buddy. Any chance of implementing support for this IR receiver? I believe it's made by Philips also. It's detected as a Pinnacle IR Receiver. I can get the vendorid & productid of it when I get home later tonight.

Here's more info from Pinnacle's website.

If support can be enabled for this IR transceiver, then this product is a very good buy for Mac users because the above hybrid USB tuner works with Elgato EyeTV. It'll be a cheap way for Mac users to buy both an analog/DVB-T tuner + an IR transceiver and if Remote Buddy supports the MCE remote control in the future, that would be an added bonus.

FYI, Pinnacle also sells a Mac version with the same tuner with Pinnacle's own remote control & ElgatoTV Lite software.

Felix, if you need more info about the IR transceiver, let me know. I'm gonna open it up to have a look inside to see if it's Philips.

thanks.
