Teaching Remote Buddy a new Remote

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Does Remote Buddy have the ability to learn raw IR codes from remotes which you can then map to various functions?

I have the Sony Bluetooth remote, and love the number of buttons I can map, but it keeps disconnecting from my system (brand new mac mini), and also I am unable to teach my home theater universal remote to run Remote Buddy as it is IR.

If I could take an old, unused IR remote, and have Remote Buddy learn the raw IR codes, I could then associate each code with a keystroke, and also train my main remote to send those codes.

If this is not possible, could you please let me know if there are any IR remotes you support that have a full array of keys (I see the eyeTV remotes are useable, but it is unclear to me whether I could just buy a remote and use it, or if I need to buy the whole eyeTV set to get it to work),

Thanks very much for any assistance.
