vlc, second screen, Remote Buddy

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi,

i just downloaded remote buddy and its great for now!
I want to use my MBP as a media central with vlc for playing HD video files on my beamer. The beamer is my second screen and has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Now I want to play these video files with vlc, because it can passthrough 5.1 ac3 or dts sound to my multichannel receiver attached with S/PDIF to my MBP.
My problem is, how can I do it, that, when opening a movie, this movie shows up on the beamer in fullscreen and not on my MacBookPro? Or can I map a key from the Apple Remote to do the F7 function (syncing screens) so that remote buddy shows up on the beamer as well.
Another suggestion is to put a key sequence on a key (likely long press - or so) to select the beamer as main screen and play the movie on this screen?

Sincerly, Jan
