greetings,
is it possible seen as though the iPhone is able to be used as a remote via the safari web browser, is it possible to use say Internet Explorer on a iMate Jasjam Pocket PC Phone, to do the same sort of thing as can't get an iPone in New Zealand until 2008 :-( :-(

If this not possible is there going to be Windows Mobile Support anytime soon for this fantastic product, as am currently using Salling Clicker, but definitely see Remote Buddy as a by far better product

Hi!

Right now the AJAX Remote's HTML + JavaScript code are tailored to
work with Safari.

I must admit, that I'm not too keen on working with the Internet
Explorer, but I may be able to get access to a device that runs it
quite easily and do some tests.

Which other browsers are available for Windows Mobile?

Best regards,
Felix

Hi

Dont blame you at all for not really wanting to work with Internet Explorer.

There is Opera Mobile thats is in beta at the moment that fully supports AJAX/Web 2.0 Applications would be fanatastic if you could make work with Opera Mobile, heres the link

http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/

There is also Minimo which is a derived of Firefox which again supports AJAX and Web 2.0

http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minimo/

Would be absoluety marvelous if you could get to work with either of these browsers, am sure would be the only one keen to get something like this working on a Windows Mobile Device

Thanks for your efforts and brilliant, small but seriously highly functional and customizable program

Take Care

Thanks for the links!

I'll try to get access to a Pocket PC over the weekend and try Minimo
on it. Minimo looks most promising as it's both free and based on the
Mozilla engine, which works fine with the AJAX Remote already.

Best regards,
Felix

Consider this another vote for Windows Mobile support. You're almost there: most of the core features work in Opera Mobile and MiniMo. So long as your app obeys the principals of solid Web design—using flow, graceful degradation, good semantic structure—you'll be fine. No one expects it to look as good as the iPhone, we'd just prefer if all the functionality worked and there weren't horizontal scrollbars.
