Spaces in Leopard

I'm VERY new to Remote Buddy, and seriously considering buying it. However, new as I am, I'm having a really hard time understanding how to setup custom actions.

What I really want to do is setup my remote to work with Spaces. Is there any easy way to do this? I just need it to emulate CTRL-<Left Arrow>, CTRL-<Right-Arrow>, etc.

Thanks for whatever help you can provide!

The easier path for what you want to do is to create a Behaviour of
your own. A under-five-minutes, uncut intro video for non-programmers
that shows everything from creation to testing a Behaviour can be
found on the Developer sub page of this site.

That said, you might just as well wait for the next version which will
have full support for controling Spaces.

Best regards,
Felix

Ok, waited for the 1.8 release which supports Spaces. Still having some problems however... (mostly my ignorance, I'm sure).

I uninstalled 1.7 and installed (clean) 1.8. Here's what I did...

I went to MAPPING > Global Mapping and selected my remote (it's a Griffin AirClick). On each of the buttons I selected the Spaces action I wanted. For example, Left > Switch to Left Space... Right > Switch to Right Space. However the only button I can get to work is the Play/Pause which "activates" spaces (F8). I cannot get it to switch to each of the differnet desktops.

I don't need my remote to do anything else except control spaces. Any help you can provide would be great!!! Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Kevin,

which key combinations have you set in System Preferences to switch
between spaces?

If you disabled you key combinations there, Remote Buddy will not have
any possibility to switch between them.

Hey Felix ... thanks for the continued quick replies!

Here are some screen shots of Remote Buddy and my Systems Prefs for Spaces. Maybe this will help?

Thanks again.

Please check the Online Updater for the just released new version of
Spaces.rbbehaviour. It fixes the problem.

Best regards,
