Problem with 1.8 - no go after update!
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hey there,

I got BIG problems with updating from 1.7x to 1.8. After running the online update Remote Buddy does not start up anymore. I tried deleting it and installed it manually. No go!

Remote Buddy is dead as fried chicken!

Any ideas?

The only cause for such problems I can imagine is an incomplete
install. To fix this please

1) Quit Remote Buddy if it is still running (check in Activity Monitor
- you can also quit Remote Buddy there), so that all files can be
deleted (you usually can't fully delete an app while it is running).

2) Delete Remote Buddy.app and empty the trash (the dock will often
keep aliases, which would then still point to the trash, which may
contain an incomplete copy)

3) Download Remote Buddy from

http://www.iospirit.com/remotebuddy/download/

and install it manually by dragging it over to /Applications.

Best regards,
Felix

Fine! That helped. But it would be possibly be enough to restart your system. I guess that was enough for me.
