eHome Receiver not recognized by RB with Leopard
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I just installed Leopard on my Mac G5. I did a clean install. Since re-installing Remote Buddy and upgrading to 1.8.1, I'm having a lot of problems. RB doesn't recognize my eHome 2005 Receiver. If I restart the computer, it does recognize it, and everything functions normally. But later, after the computer has gone to sleep, RB claims that the eHome receiver is no longer active. If I unplug the receiver and plug it back in, there is no change. If I quit RB and restart it, the eHome receiver no longer appears under the hardware tab in preferences. I've gotten a lot of use from Remote Buddy, but if I have to restart the computer every time I want to use it, it will be more trouble than it's worth. Any suggestions?

Using user clients to control USB devices (which is what <= 1.8.1 are
doing) from user space doesn't seem to work too well under Leopard.

A completely new eHome driver will be included with the next release.
Please let me know should the next version not solve the problem you
experience.
