Front Row and BD Remote Issue
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi,
I am using Leopard 10.5.1 , RB 1.8.7, FR 2.1.2 and Kernal 1.5.2
I have a number of behaviours and all work correctly except Front Row.

I have mapped one button for "Activate/Deactivate Front Row", the button will activate Front Row but it will not deactivate Front Row. the only keys that work are the Left, Right, Enter, UP, Down and PS keys. The Menu Preference screen for FR shows the buttons I map but none of them work. I also created a custom command "Keystroke Home" to quick exit and mapped this, it also will not work.
I then deleted all key mappings for FR Behavior and noticed that the "Left, Right, Enter, UP, Down and PS keys" still function. I is as if the FR Behavior Mappings are not actually active when FR is activated I reinstalled the Kernal 1.5.2 but it still will not recognise mapped buttons in FR, all other Behaviors work fine. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Hi,

Remote Buddy currently does not support free button mapping in Leopard
Front Row as Leopard Front Row presents a complete change from Tiger
Front Row:

It no longer uses iTunes for playback (=> no ratings, no iTunes volume
control make sense any more), it will prevent any window from
displaying on top of it (including Remote Buddy's, so opening Remote
Buddy's menu will work, but not be visible - and I've received many
claims of "Remote Buddy doesn't work" because of this as of course,
when the menu is open, you control the menu, not Front Row - just
Leopard Front Row will prevent the menu from being displayed as long
as it's active).

Best regards,
Felix
