Is there going to be support for Nokia E61i phones?

Hi, I bought the software recently, and I was a bit unhappy with my apple remote, for sometimes I simply have to point the remote at the IR port of my MacBook Pro. On the other hand, I have a Nokia E61i full of buttons. I am wondering if there is going to be Symbian /Java Applicaton for the Nokia phones to support the phone as a remote control for Remote Buddy?

Thanks for your feedback.

Please understand that I no longer talk about future product versions
and thus also not about which hardware could possibly be supported as
well with future product versions. Sorry.

Hi Felix,

Let's change the topic: I really want to use Remote Buddy with my E61i, what are the necessary setups I have to go through to do that(Pairing, Apple Script, etc?)? If that's not the current case, what more do I have to do? If say I develop a symbian app on my phone, what are the interfaces I have to bear in mind when talking with remote buddy?

With best regards,
Du Senyao Peter

That'd take

- writing an application that runs on your phone

- one that
+ runs on your Mac
+ takes care of pairing with your phone
+ is responsible for the communication with the phone
+ forwards button events to Remote Buddy (there's a basic, public
AppleScript one and a direct, but non-public one).

Sorry, just figured I forgot to put a few words in. Here's the more
understandable version: ;-)

That'd take

- writing an application that runs on your phone

- writing an application that runs on your Mac that
+ takes care of pairing with your phone
+ is responsible for the communication with the phone
+ forwards button events to Remote Buddy (there's a basic, public
AppleScript API and a direct, but non-public API, for which ready-to-
go source code is available strictly on an individual basis).
