Front Row & Default Behaviour
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hiya,

RB is great, however its a bit of a pain when I start it to get into front row as I need to click left then select. Ideally I want to pick up my remote, click menu or select to bring up RB, then select again to start it.

I've tried setting FR as the default behaviour however when I do this it starts but none of the functions (up down left right select) work, so i have to stick with the normal way.

I've looked in this on the forum but sadly both answers dont seem to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Will

Hello Will,

you can simplify the menu further and get what you are looking for
with new options available in the latest version of Remote Buddy at
Preferences > Menu > Appearance & Settings.

If you want to always open the menu at its root level, that's also
just a click away in Preferences > Mapping > Global mapping: for the
menu button, simply select the action for openeing the menu at the
root level and that's it.

Setting a Behaviour as default behaviour is an advanced option (and
therefore intentionally hidden) for very special use cases and is
*not* generally recommended. You really shouldn't set this option to
anything else but "None (recommended)" - but especially not to an
application - including Front Row, as that will always mean that app
is launched.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
Felix Schwarz
