Unable to continue mapping
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I've set up multiple apple remotes for use with a Harmony One.

Its been working out perfectly, except now the mapping just refuses to accept any of my settings. The mapping I've done up to this point remains, but I can't map anything else for some reason.

Help!

Thanks for asking.

I'll need more info to get an idea of the problem. Please describe

- what you have been doing previously and in which part of the
preferences respectively

- in which part of the preferences you now experience a problem

- which actions you took and how that problem shows in response to that

- what you would have expected instead

Best regards,

I have been mapping both pre-programmed and my own created behaviors onto global commands of now 9 unique apple remotes.

I am now experiencing the problem in the mapping tab.

I have been attempting to map behaviors, just like I was doing before, but when I choose a behavior from the drop-down list, it doesn't show up as a chosen behavior. I cannot figure out why.

Thanks for the info. I still don't really understand the problem,
though and will need more info:

1) In which mapping table (the selection on the right) are you
changing settings?

2) What exactly are you mapping to the buttons?

3) Is the problem that the change you make don't show up in the table?
Or is it that the buttons you think should trigger the assigned action
don't trigger it?

If you can upload screenshots somewhere or mail them to info@iospirit,
this would probably help understanding the problem a lot.

I cannot get any action to map to any button. When I click an action -- it doesn't matter which one / what behavior -- nothing appears in the "Perform Action column for that button. The change I made doesn't appear.

It used to work fine. Now no button works. I've moved all of the mapping preferences from ~Library/Preferences (to see if starting over works), but no luck.

Thanks for the info. I must admit that really I wouldn't know what
could cause it to not directly show or accept your selections. There
certainly are no inherent limits anywhere in Remote Buddy.

Did you install and system additions, "haxies", "system enhancements",
"performance tuning" tools, input managers or the like that alter
system APIs? Please check the InputManagers directories at both

/Users/yourHomeDir/Library/InputManagers/

and

/Library/InputManagers/

for files. Please also check for "APE" in /Applications/Utilities/
System Profiler.app > Extensions.
