It does not appear this remote is yet supported, at least from searching the forums and reading the Eyetv page on this site. Are there plans for this in future releases? I love remote buddy but it makes it an inconvenience when I have to shut down remote buddy in order to use the EyeTV remote with Eyetv. Since the apple remote does not have enough buttons to fast foward, rewind, switch to live TV, etc....

Hello Quentin,

actually the EyeTV Remote should work fine with EyeTV Hybrid, the
latest EyeTV 2/3 and Remote Buddy. Have you tried it?

Please note that by default, Remote Buddy just hands back all button
presses to EyeTV when EyeTV is the active Behaviour. More info on the
EyeTV subpage on the RB site.

Hello Felix thank you for your response. When I use the EyeTv remote with Eyetv software, with Remote Buddy running I get a message from Remote Buddy some where along the lines that I am using an unknown controller. The EyeTv software does not respond to the EyeTV remote till I close Remote Buddy. I am using 3.03 of Eyetv and the latest version of Remote Buddy. When I try to pair the EyeTv Remote with Remote Buddy, using the enter key as the menu key, Remote Buddy never gets the ID of the remote.

Thanks for the info.

When you see this happening, please open Console.app and have a look
at the console.log for entries of Remote Buddy. If you find any,
please forward them to me by mail (=> via the contact form, preferably
as a support inquiry) or post them here.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

I am having the exact same problem with my eyetv Hybrid remote. I have eyetv 3.0.4 and Remote Buddy 1.11.3 both running. In the Remote Buddy Hardware preference panel, the EYETV RECEIVER shows up but no remotes are listed below it. When i press a button on the eyetv remote I get this message, "Received signal from unknown remote control."

I went in to the console log and found a bunch of the following:
Nov 17 12:40:31 macMiniTV Remote Buddy[130]: Received raw button event from unregistered remote (4545-fffffffe-10ef-0)

thanks
