Save my life! I can't get my Eyetv Remote to talk to Remote Buddy! HELP?

Hello

Please help me as I am going mad. I have read the instructions for using an EyeTV Remote with Remote Buddy, yet I can't get my EyeTV remote to talk to Remote Buddy at all. I have EyeTv 3.0 and Remote Buddy 11 - and the Miglia handset is supported as far as I can tell (from the Miglia Mini Eyetv Bundle I bought yonks ago).

There is something fundamental and simple I am missing here, but I have spent all evening trying to work out what it is...... and I can take no more. Please, please, please - if anyone has any advice / help they could offer me I would be MASSIVELY GRATEFUL.

Robert,

thanks for asking. I have no Miglia products to try out myself, but
since it is not an Elgato prodcut, I don't think it is supported:

-- snip --
On the hardware side, all TV __products from Elgato__ are supported in
conjunction with their bundled remote control (currently still except
products of the EyeTV lines 250, 250 Plus, 300/310, 400/410, 500, 610,
EZ) as well as TV sticks by TerraTec and Pinnacle shipping with EyeTV.
-- snap --

If EyeTV supports handing through the events from a remote to Remote
Buddy, this will always happen fully automatically and "just work". No
options or setup are available nor needed for this. EyeTV and Remote
Buddy just need to run at the same time.

Best regards,

Ach! That sort of makes sense, so thank you very much for your response. What's insane, though, is that my physical remote control is identical to the one that's shown on this website - so it seems batty that when it's badged Eyetv it *does* work with Remote Budyy, but when it's badged Miglia, it doesn't. I'll high myself over to the Miglia website and see what they have to say about making the Miglia talk to Eyetv - but I don't hold out much hope.

I'm gutted though, as I thought I was about to have a solution to my needs of using my mac mini as a 100% adaptable media centre. Grrr.

Thanks again for your help, though.

Hello Robert,

it's not so much about the remote control or what it looks like. It's
about the receiver hardware. If I remember correctly, their hardware
differed/differs from the packages Elgato offers by themselves.
