request for XBMC behaviour
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I'm using RemoteBuddy on a MacMini with EyeTV and XBMC.
You might be aware of the problem that when XBMC is in fullscreen it is the "topmost" window and the RemoteBuddy menu is not displayed.

To workaround that I would like that RemoteBuddy switches XBMC to window mode or minimizes it when opening the RemoteBuddy menu.

Is this possible? Or is there any other solution for the problem?

Thanks for asking.

Remote Buddy can only send commands to XBMC, but it can't receive back
any status information from XBMC due to the lack of an interface for
that on XBMC's side.

OS X applications can claim exclusive access to a display. In that
case, no other application can display its windows on that screen. If
you can't see Remote Buddy on top of XBMC's interface, please file a
bug report with the XBMC team so they can address the issue or offer
an option so that XBMC doesn't claim exclusive access to a display.
This can't be addressed from Remote Buddy's side.

Best regards,
Felix Schwarz
