This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.

Funny I was just coming on to post this.

I have had this issue for awhile on my MacBook Pro. It does it for me after safe sleep. I have to close and re-open remote buddy.

Which brings to mind a suggestion for the program.

Could you add a restart feature to remote buddy Felix? Would just make it easier than having to quit it and relaunch it.

One thing that you can use is a widget called Deep Sleep, available here:

http://deepsleep.free.fr/

This will kick on safe sleep. Might help as you try to recreate this issue Felix.
