This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I think this would be a great addition, though one could make the change in the ./WebRemote/index.html file by adding the line:

<meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes" />

directly under the viewport line. Then follow the direction that you linked to above by "add to Home Screen" and rename with ".app" appended to the end (e.g., Remote Buddy.app).

Now when you click the link it will appear as a stand-alone app...

If you have no idea what I'm talking about above when I say edit the ./WebRemote/index.html file then you should probably wait until Felix gets a chance to add this line himself.

I've just done this and it works as described...
