This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
brand new remote, brand new battery, about 6 feet from the receiver (that works fine in windows MCE). The light on the receiver blinks when you click a button but nothing happens. If you double click a button, it works fine.

I think I'm going to have to go back to MCE as I can't ask my girl to deal with this flaky-ness.
