Re: Airfoil behavior not working in Ajax Remote?

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Thanks for asking.

Generally:
- AirFoil should be controllable via the AJAX Remote exactly like with
a "real" remote out of the box (sidenote: there currently is a
backward incompatibility in iPhone OS 3.0, that'll require you to use
two fingers for long presses - which will be addressed with a
workaround in the upcoming, next RB release).

- Any configuration change will of course change what Remote Buddy does.

I'll need this information from you to get to the bottom of your
problem:

By default on my install none of the actions show up for Airfoil in
the menu of the Ajax remote.

- Just to get clarity: which menu do you mean? The menu that opens on
your screen when you press the virtual "menu" button? Or the Menu
displayed on your iPhone's/iPod Touch's screen when tapping the button
"Menu" (with red background) in the AJAX Remote's launcher screen?

I see where you add the actions in the configuration. But when I
use the ajax interface then nothing happens when i hit those
buttons. Any ideas?

- Which part of the configuration?

- Are you using the AJAX Remote module "Remote" or the module "Menu"?

- If it is the "Remote" part: which buttons are you pressing? Does the
Remote Buddy menu come up on the screen of your Mac when you press the
Menu button of the AJAX Remote module "Remote" ?

- Did you make any changes to the configuration? If yes, in which
areas? (If possible, send screenshots of these parts to info -a-t-
iospirit com, so I can have a look.)

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Felix Schwarz
